On the way to Crescent Head we drove through Coffs Harbour. Stopped in at the Marina and walked up the hill on Muttonbird Island – great view.
Crescent Head proved to be a popular spot with vannies and surfers alike. Lots of signage up prohibiting overnight stopping anywhere in the area. We checked out various National Parks and Wildlife camp sites but decided to stay at Waves campsite. Can highly recommend this place. Peaceful, natural surrounds and across the road from the beach. The hot showers were a bonus. At $10 per person per night it was good value.
A couple of great surfs were had at Crescent Head before the wind direction changed and blue bottles were blown in. Saw some nasty stings.
